Geonet Mobile Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 3 December 2025

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Geonet Mobile website GeonetMobile.com, the Geonet Mobile app (“Application”), and any eSIM, data, or phone services provided by Geonet Mobile (“Services”).

By accessing or using our website, Application, or Services, you enter into a legally binding agreement (“Agreement”) with Geonet Mobile (“Geonet”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Your continued use of the Services confirms that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms in full, you must stop using the website, Application and Services immediately.

2. Updates & modifications to these Terms

We may update, amend or modify these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our Services, technology or legal requirements.

  • Any updated version will be indicated by a revised “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
  • Where required, we may provide additional notice (for example via the app or website).
  • Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

3. Who we are

Geonet Mobile provides international eSIM and related connectivity services. Further details about our legal entity and contact details are provided in our Privacy & Cookies Policy.

4. Eligibility & user responsibilities

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your device is eSIM-compatible and network-unlocked before purchase.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account details and login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for any activity carried out using your account, SIM/eSIM, phone number, or payment method.

5. Services provided

5.1 eSIM services

Geonet Mobile offers prepaid eSIM plans, which may include:

  • mobile data only; or
  • mobile data with optional voice and/or SMS services (where available).

eSIM plans are typically limited by:

  • validity period (number of days);
  • data allowance or fair use cap; and/or
  • geographic coverage (countries or regions).

5.2 Phone numbers & voice services

In some cases, you may purchase a phone number with or without an eSIM plan. Phone numbers are provided for personal and legitimate business use only, subject to these Terms and any local regulatory requirements.

Voice services, where available, may be limited by:

  • destination countries and call types;
  • fair usage thresholds; and
  • our fraud prevention and monitoring rules (see Section 8).

6. Registration, purchase & activation

6.1 Registration

To use our Services, you may need to create an account via:

  • the Geonet Mobile website;
  • the Geonet Mobile app; or
  • our authorised partners or agents.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information, including (at a minimum) your:

  • full name; and
  • verifiable email address.

6.2 Purchase and activation

You can purchase eSIM plans and/or phone numbers through our website, app, or authorised partners.

  • Once your order is confirmed, we will provide instructions and/or a QR code to download and activate the eSIM.
  • The service period and allowances (for example data, minutes, SMS) usually start when the eSIM is downloaded and activated on your device, or as otherwise specified for a particular plan.
  • You are responsible for following the activation instructions and ensuring the eSIM is correctly installed on a compatible device.

7. Fair Usage Policy (FUP)

7.1 Unlimited data plans

To protect network performance and ensure fair use, our “unlimited” data plans are subject to a Fair Usage Policy:

  • Data usage is capped at 2GB per day.
  • After the 2GB daily cap is reached, speeds may be throttled to up to 1 Mbps until the next 24-hour period.
  • The daily allowance typically resets every 24 hours from the time of first activation, unless stated otherwise in plan details.
  • Hotspot/tethering usage is limited to a total of 2GB per eSIM (across the lifetime of that eSIM), unless explicitly specified otherwise for a particular plan.

7.2 Hotspot & tethering

Hotspot and tethering use is subject to additional restrictions:

  • Hotspot usage is restricted to a single connected device.
  • Hotspot groups or sharing with multiple devices at the same time (for example, using your device as a router for many users) is not allowed.
  • We may monitor hotspot usage patterns to protect network integrity.

7.3 Misuse and prohibited activities

You agree not to use Geonet Mobile Services for illegal, abusive or fraudulent purposes. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • spamming, phishing or other scam activities;
  • unauthorised reselling or sharing of Services;
  • network tampering, interference or attempts to bypass technical limitations;
  • activities that degrade network performance for other users; and
  • using the Services in violation of applicable laws or regulations.

8. Fraud prevention & monitoring

Geonet Mobile actively monitors Service usage and transactions to prevent and detect fraud.

  • We may monitor traffic patterns, payment activity and calling behaviour for signs of abuse or fraud.
  • Fraudulent card payments or suspicious activities may be investigated and reported to card issuers and relevant authorities.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account or phone number that we reasonably believe is involved in fraudulent or abusive activity.

8.1 Voice call usage limits

To protect against fraud, spam and network abuse, Geonet Mobile reserves the right to:

  • limit voice call usage to 100 minutes per day if our systems detect suspicious activity; and/or
  • immediately suspend or terminate voice services and/or phone numbers involved in:
    • fraudulent, spam or scam calls;
    • excessive robocalling or auto-dialling;
    • mass telemarketing or other unauthorised commercial use;
    • any use that, in our reasonable opinion, violates these Terms or applicable laws.

We are not obliged to provide prior notice before suspending or terminating Services in cases of suspected serious abuse or fraud.

9. Charges, payments & refunds

9.1 Pricing & billing

All prices for eSIM plans, phone numbers and Services are shown on our website or within the Application (or by our authorised partners). Prices may vary by currency, region and plan type.

  • Services are typically offered on a prepaid basis.
  • By completing a purchase, you authorise us and/or our payment providers to charge your chosen payment method for the amount shown.
  • You are responsible for any fees charged by your bank, card issuer or payment provider.

9.2 Refund policy

Because eSIMs are digital products tied to a specific device and activation event, our refund policy is as follows:

  • Activated eSIMs: Once an eSIM has been activated (downloaded and installed on your device), it is non-refundable.
  • Unactivated eSIMs: In some cases, we may issue refunds for eSIMs that have not been activated, subject to a processing fee of $2, £2 or €2 (depending on the currency used at purchase).

Requests for refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted through our support channels within a reasonable time from purchase.

10. Network coverage & service quality

Geonet Mobile works with third-party telecom operators and partners to provide coverage in different countries and regions.

  • Coverage, speeds and service quality may vary by location, network, device, time of day and local conditions.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and cannot be responsible for outages or issues caused by our network partners or other factors beyond our reasonable control (for example, local network congestion, maintenance, or regulatory restrictions).

You are responsible for checking that the plan you purchase supports connectivity in your intended destination(s).

11. Emergency services

eSIM and VoIP-style services may not support access to local emergency numbers in the same way as traditional mobile or fixed-line services.

You must not rely solely on Geonet Mobile Services for emergency communications. You are responsible for maintaining an alternative means of contacting emergency services (for example, local SIM, landline, or traditional mobile subscription).

12. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services (including any eSIM, plan or phone number) if:

  • you breach these Terms;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or unauthorised use;
  • we are required to do so by law, regulation or a government authority; or
  • continuing to provide the Services would present a security, legal or operational risk.

Where reasonable, we may give you prior notice of suspension or termination, but in cases of suspected serious abuse or fraud we may act without notice.

13. Intellectual property

All content on the website and within the Application (including logos, branding, text, graphics, icons and software) is owned by or licensed to Geonet Mobile and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the website, Application and Services for your own personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from our Services except as permitted by law.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Geonet Mobile and its directors, employees and partners shall not be liable for:

  • any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages; or
  • any loss of profits, revenue, data, business or goodwill,

arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability under these Terms, in respect of any claim arising from or in connection with the Services, shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Geonet Mobile for the specific plan or Service giving rise to the claim in the 3 months preceding the event.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Geonet Mobile, its directors, employees and partners from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • your breach of these Terms; or
  • your misuse of the Services or violation of any law or third party rights.

16. Third-party links & services

Our website and Application may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, apps or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or terms of those third parties. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

17. Privacy & data protection

Geonet Mobile may collect and process personal data in connection with providing the Services, including for regulatory and compliance purposes.

For details of how we collect, use and protect your personal data, and your rights under data protection law, please read our Privacy & Cookies Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

18. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms and any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the laws of England and Wales (UK law).

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services, subject to any consumer rights you may have to bring claims in your local jurisdiction.

19. General provisions

  • Severability: If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will remain in full force and effect.
  • No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision under these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
